It’s day two of Ice Cream week already! This week seems to be flying by but I’m certainly not complaining when it means I get ice cream! If you are late to ice cream week, click here to check out day one.
Today’s recipe is Chocolate Fudge Swirl Ice Cream. Using the simple no churn vanilla ice cream from the beginning of the week but with the addition of shaved chocolate and a rich and gooey chocolate fudge sauce rippled right through the ice cream. This has got to be one of my, if not my favourite ice cream flavour combinations I have ever eaten!
When I was coming up with flavours and recipes for ice cream week, I knew I didn’t want the typical vanilla, chocolate, mint chocolate, strawberry, etc. I wanted unusual, over the top delicious, oh so decedent and indulgent. This recipe idea came to me as I was watching TV. It first began with the chocolate shavings throughout the ice cream. I don’t particularly like chocolate chips in my ice cream as I hate coming across the hard texture in among the creaminess of the ice cream. Some people love that kind of texture, I do not. So I began to wonder what chocolate shavings would be like, so I wrote the idea down.
