Today’s post is going to be a little different. I called this Bite of Real Life as if is more of an update on Life and on where Lights, Camera, BAKE! is at and where I hope it is heading for the future.
For those of you who know me, you know I am passionate about film making and of course baking. I work a part-time job to to pay my bills while also running Lights, Camera, BAKE!. I hope in the near future I will be able to turn this blog into an income source and expand this blog even further. As you may know I have already begun that with the Ultimate Baking Conversion Booklet and the Pre Mix Jars. I am in the process of writing a cookbook (YAY!) and there will be more news on that soon.
In addition to this blog I am still hopeful and working towards working in the entertainment industry. I hope to bring a bit more of the film things into this blog. Such as more YouTube Tutorials, more showstopping recipes and even a new series of film and TV themed baking!
When I have some spare time, I also work on photography. I am aware that Lights, Camera, BAKE! features a lot of food photography, but I’m talking about other photography. Landscapes, portraits, nature, black and white, artistic, etc. (See the above photos.)
I have decided to put them on Etsy and see how they fare. I haven’t been actively “pushing” my photography so to speak but I do hope to spend a little more time doing that as well.

The last update for this post (I know, I know, I’ll stop talking in a second), is I have updated my Mars Bar Pie photos and created a fun little video to accompany it. This is one of my all time favourite recipes so please do check it out. (Ignore the less the stellar post, it was from 2014!).
I have some special recipes planned for next week so stay tuned for those. They contain fruit. Lot’s of fruit… Grapes mostly… Crushed grapes… Okay wine. They contain wine.
